I’ll be in Seoul with my family for the next two weeks. I’ll have one day to browse around for watches. Interested in vintage Seiko from 70’s to the brand new 2022 Rolex destro GMT. I plan to check out Nostime and the Jongro 4 ga area. But buying a watch inside Korea is pretty much the same as anywhere else. Granted, the market in Seoul is not nearly as robust as Hong Kong, but there are deals if you work on it. Korean-made reps? And supposedly better than the ones we've been getting from the TDs and Chinese factories? I would've bought one to try if it wasn't so crazily expensive for a rep, regardless of their (prima facie) good quality. Edit: in case you're wondering, no I'm not that gullible to really believe the guy.Cheap labour and minimal overheads may make fake watches a lot cheaper than Swiss originals, but the most accurate fakes are still far from cheap, costing many hundreds and sometimes even thousands of dollars.
